Systems Analyst | Cyber Security Analyst | Web Applications Developer

I am a Technician I at the University of Dar es Salaam Library, with a Diploma in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering. My work sits where systems analysis, cyber security and web development meet.

Systems analysis. I analyse institutional needs and turn them into working systems. I install, configure and customise open-source platforms for production use, including Koha, DSpace, VuFind and Moodle, and I manage the Library Management System and the Institutional Repository.

Cyber security. I secure the systems I build, covering hardened Linux servers, access control and reliable backups, and I am extending this into cyber security analysis and digital forensics. I completed the Google Cybersecurity program on Coursera (view credential).

Web applications. I build modern web applications with Laravel and React and deploy them on Linux servers. I completed the Meta Front-End Developer program on Coursera (view credential).

I keep up with advances in generative AI and use them to solve practical problems for the University community. I completed the UNESCO course on AI ethics on Coursera (view credential).
